Hi guys, have a question.
My father has Nikon D90. I will sell Pentax K20D + Double kit these week firstly because I don't use double kit. But the main problem is what to go for - K-x(same sensor as D90) or K-7(no upgrade in IQ).
So, if you have Nikon D90 what will you go for?
I know this doesn't answer your question directly, but . . .

Why sell the K20? It is a fine camera body. Use your funds to upgrade Pentax lenses. Buy the next generation sensor released in the K-7 body, probably fall 2010 (and keep the K20 as a backup body because by then it will be fully depreciated).

sell D90 then buy D700
sell D90 then buy pentax lenses
sell D90 + sell K20d then buy K30d or K-9
do not buy K-x if u have K20d

it's not the same sensor. K-x is better than D90 at high ISO. D90 has better AF

sell the D90 w/ the Sigma and get the K X and the DA F1.4 for the ultimate low light capability.

cheers,

Congratulations! Simple (entry level?)camera however extremly enjoyable. I'm also very happy with it. Almost bought a D90 did a good amount of research on the net-but when I first managed to try out the K-x in a big store (I also put a card in it and took some pictures home) I was hooked

I don't mean to be rude, but why ask 'us'? I'd suggest going to a camera review site, find the specs for both cameras, find out how they're different and then make up your mind which one suits your needs the best. (needs being a relative thing, of course )

I don't like camera review sites, it's better for me to ask someone

I'd say keep the K20D.

This question still hurts my head... haha

Your dads nikon... you use his lenses but he only has the sigma 10-20 and Kit? Is that right? I am so confused...

Anyway, if you a bound and detirmined to stay with pentax I would keep the K20 and pick up the Kx for high iso / small kit stuff.

But honestly if your dad is close to you and you can trade stuff easily... It is no brainer for me

I would sell the pentax stuff and get the D90 body only and buy the 35mm 1.8 -- the 50m 1.8 and the 85mm 1.8 for about 700 bucks... and get dad to buy a nice VR ultra zoom...

Done now you all got some fast nice primes to take advantage of the D90's IQ and a wide sigma 10-20 and a good ultra zoom...

There.... The perfect solution!

Best solution is K-x + pentax primes Cause I have K-x now
