Well, Carrefour France just sold some Kx with the sigma 18-200 at 599€, with a 299€ give back in coupons...
So, I effectively bought a Kx+18-200 for 300€ (and sold the lens for 150€ :-) )... Talk about a sweet deal!

*ist DS, got mine for around US$ 200, its cheaper than a lot of P&S cameras out there but tough as a nail.

Great walk-around camera if you pair it with the right lens. Since it is so inexpensive, I take it with me to more places hence shoot more.

Me too, although why not indulge them?

The K10D is obviously the best camera if you can get it under $300.

The K10D is obviously the most problematic camera if you can get it under $300.

What do you mean by that?

Ok, well then I would have to go with the K100D, which was my first choice until I saw the K10D on there. You really can't go wrong with it.

I have a K20D now... I'm looking for the BEST back-up body for under $300/$350 max (on here or EBAY).

Would be great if batteries, etc. from my K20D were compatible with my new (used) back-up body... but not 100% mandatory if price/quality ratio is good.

I looked at the DSLR review section, but got confused with all the stats. So I'm asking a general consensus/opinion so I know what to specifically look for to buy and target that one.

THANKS!
Given your battery wish, and your list, your only choice is the K10d. Frankly though, I'd wait awhile for the K7 price to come down and use the K20d as a back up. That is, unless you have some special need for 2 bodies right now.
