Questions, just got my K-x

Hi, nice to meet everybody here. Just got my K-x with 18-55mm and 55-300mm from Amazon today. Tried it a little bit, able to take pictures, and record movies. I have seen a lot of discussion about the battery problem, just want to decide if I should upgrade the firmware. But I don't know where to find its firmware version in the menu (since I just got it, I am hoping it's already shipped with new firmware 1.0.1). Can somebody enlight me on that?

Thanks a lot,

Sam

Does the firmware take care of anything else other than the batteries?

Thank you guys, I shoulda read the readme.txt that came with the firmware though. Anyway, it's done smoothly. Made a few shots, everything is working great so far. Cheers!

I am kind of a novice too, after so many years spent with those little card cameras (laziness), it's good to come back to something with some real DOF.
