(Re)Setting K20D file name in camera

Hello forum - this is my first post here, although I have been reading for a while.

When I got my K20D, I set the file name style to K20Dnnnn so the files were easy to distinguish from my K100D and K10D files. The numbers incremented by one for every shot until I borrowed somebody's SD card (from a Canon P&S, I think) at which point the number count jumped from around 4100 to 6300! I have tried inserting an SD card with the files renamed to the proper number, but the camera keeps using the new, jumped-up file numbers.

Does anybody know how to set the file numbering system to an arbitrary number - AND, have it keep counting from there?
