Interval Shooting

HI All

i have been playing with the interval shooting settings on the K7, i am basically a little confused

If i set using Manul the exposure time to 5 seconds and the interval time to 6 seconds all works lovely. That is the shutter stays open for 5 seconds then closes then 1 second later it takes another shot.....all great.

If however i set the exposure time to 25 seconds and the interval time to 26......then the shot takes for 25 seconds but then there is around 10 seconds (approximately) delay before it takes another shot...

anyone got any ideas on this??

Adrian

It is probably due to the dark frame subtraction that is carried out after a long exposure. I'm not sure if it can be turned off on the K7.

Hi. I've not been able to figure out exactly what triggers dfs in the k20d and k7 either. They have different dfs on/off behavior and I concluded that there are a more factors than just shutter time. Here is a thread where I didn't get anywhere.

I'm still curious and I'd be glad if anyone can confirm it is hard to predict which shots dfs will be kicking in.
