K-7 frame per second only 4 instead of 5.2?

I've received my K-7 a few days ago and tried to shoot a 5 frame HDR, but the camera stops after 4 shots and then shoots 1 frame per second. Does anyone know why I can't get 5 frames per second?

It does shoot 5 fps when set on JPG, but is only capable of 4 fps when set on DNG.

Write DNG only (also tried PEF)
SanDisk Extreme III 30MB/s 4GB and 16GB card
Manual focus
No liveview

Thanks in advance,

Disable Distortion Correction and Lateral Chromatic Aberration Adjustment under Lens Correction in page 1 of the Record menu...

Well, an HDR is made of images from a range of exposures...the lightest images need slower shutter speeds, so naturally the shutter speed will slow down as you get toward the last one or two shots of an in-camera HDR.

Thanks for the quick replies! It was indeed caused by the lens correction settings. Didn't know those have such an impact on performance. Thanks again!
