Have you repeair K10D by yourself?

I got my old K10D back from Pentax Service because I don't want to pay $270 for repeair. because before first I send my k10D about 2 years ago and same cost $270. I can't believe same cost 2 years ago and 3 weeks ago. I think they profilt too much.
Anyway Have you repeari K10D by yourself before? I opened a bottom of the body and looked it but I am not tech.. Maybe find reset to hide inside the body or whatever....
I have Pentax K-7 here but I love both K10D and K-7.. Darn it.....

What's the problem with your K10D?
Anything fundamental to its function and I'd consider replacing it with another K10D for the same price as the repair...

Prices have gone down then if the price is the same as two years ago.

external power

Have you tried external power supply?

Power issues can be difficult...could be as simple as power from battery not getting "onto" main board...i.e., power switch. Could be the main board too...or some component on the main board....which would not be an easy fix.

You can edit posts you know. You don't have to do a new post to correct a previous one (I have deleted that one for you).

Considering that you can get a good user K10D for 300-350 a repair might not be worth the price.
