Okay, awesome guys, thanks for your help and reassurances! I am as of today a first-time Pentax (and dslr) owner!

That's a nice illustration. It is the middle piece, the board with the sensor, that moves.

That's definitely not new, I was frequently referred to as an ogre way back in high school because I was 6'1", weighed 250 pounds and played football.

don't mind the clunking sound. it's normal. just enjoy the silent shutter sound of the K-7. oh what a joy !
