Is it easy to sell a used K20d? Doubts...

Hello there.

I have a mint condition K20d, which I'm considering to sell. I bought it as an upgrade for my K10d, but I found out the investment wasn't worth it, as I don't use live view ( I thought it would help me greatly, but not), and because the k20 doesn't have the option to turn off the long exposure noise reduction. I'm a landscape/waterscape photographer, and I can't live with the lack of this feature, so I'm considering to sell my K20d.

My question is: is it easy to sell this kind of cameras? How much should I ask for it? It's absolutely mint, with only 3000 shots, and it is covered by an extended warranty (by Pixmania, where I bought it), which will still last till 2012.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers
José Ramos

You can easily sell it, the question is just how much you would get for it. Could post it in the marketplace and if people don't offer what you want, try e bay.

The focus is much better, it's true, but that doesn't make it worth all by itself to keep the camera, specially considering that I do 95% landscape photography, which doesn't depend on focus speed.

For how much have K20d's been selling?

There is a slew of K20D in the marketplace right now.. including mine...

I'm pretty sure the lowest price goes first...

I'd imagine it will go quickly for $500 or under, but with patience you could eventually sell for closer to $600.

It's about easy to sell anything for the right price.
If you really want to get rid of it and make a fast sale without looking back, then sell it for cheap.
If you want to get the price you paid for it, then you have to have patience until someone is willing to get it for that price.
If you want to sell it for what it is really going for "used" then you also have to wait for the right buyer.
Selling something is actually positioning your item.
If it goes the same price as what the other sellers offer it for, then why would those interested in buying one get yours?
The easiest way to distance yourself from the other sellers is the price offer.
If yours is low enough than what the others are offering theirs for, then all the buyers would consider your offer first than the rest.
It is all about "are you willing to let go or not"?

I bought my K20d used, 2600 activations, no warranty (and a warranty probably wouldn't matter to me) for $540 shipped. YMMV.

These recently went on sale new for the bargain price of $580. There was substantial interest from buyers and they sold out quickly. This tells me that there is still a market for the K20d.

Here's a thread discussing the deal and how quickly it sold out:
