Choice?

I've ben using an Optio for several years as an easily portable convenience camera, and i've now decided it's time for my trusty old P30n to go into retirement.

I have a choice between a K100D or an istDL - which should I go for. The 100d is marginally cheaper, but price isn't an issue.

if K100D is cheaper I don't think you have much to think about..
it's newer, has better processor, more (and selectable) focus points and SR,
they both have the same viewfinder, and both are using AA cells,
donwside is that K100D is slightly bigger and hevier, but I'd say K100D is clear winner...

yeah, thats a no-brainer! even if the dl was a bit cheaper, the k100d is a better incarnation of it and jpeg output and noise have been improved.

and you get SR, which is very desierable if you ask me.

Deffinetley go for the k100d.

K100D would even be my choise if it was more expensive. Shake reduction is (much) more than a gimmic.

I've owned and *istDL and now have a K10D. I used a K100D and it is far far far better than the *ist.
