Problem with K100D and M lens

I have a K100D and Im having trouble with my 50mm M F/2 lens. It was working for the past week, "use aperture ring" is permitted and everything was fine until tonight. I was using my 18-55 lens, I switched to the 50mm and the shutter will not actuate. It did once or twice but now nothing. The "F--" is not flashing, and nothing has changed. The shutter actuates perfectly fine with the kit lens or without a lens.

Any ideas?

Try cleaning the contacts.
Is it still working with the 18-55?

Maybe the focus is set to AF, not M?

D'oh! Didnt realize that wouldnt let it fire. It was on AF, now it works with MF. Thank you!

It *will* fire with the switch set to AF - but only if the AF sensors agree that the image is in focus.

ahhhhh that must be why it fired a couple random times.
