Taken with a kit lens

The only source of light is a small window of 2 feet by 4 feet.

I've had the K-X for just over a week now. I've had little time to play with it – but love it so far. Pretty new to the DSLR thing and took some B&W photo classes in college. It's all slowly coming back. Here's one from this past weekend.

Just got the K-x yesterday, this is with the 55-300mm kit lens playing with depth of field from about 8ft.

I have had the KX a few months now. I realized when I bought it that there would be a new model out soon but felt it was a more logical choice as a second body to my K20. It is nice and light for travel and I have really enjoyed it and the quality of photos it produces.
I still use the K20 quite a bit. Mainly for my wildlife photos. It is definitely more rugged than the KX but the KX makes for a better travelling companion. I am impressed with the KR but not so much as to get rid of the KX. The K5 may force me to sell the K20 though.

These are two that I like
First one is in a very dark theater at Nasa in Florida
ISO 6400, 1/60s, F4.5 ,70mm , Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4.5

The Second one is Pentax 55-300mm @230mm

This is, so far, the shot I'd consider "good" that I've taken. I really love my 50mm 1.7.
