I'm absolutely new to photography. My husband and my son are my inspiration!! I just got a wonderful used K-x here at the forum. This is one of my first attempts trying to get a reasonable photo. I'm hooked!!!
Nice pic!, try to give it more contrast in a photo editing program and it'll be superb!

Thank you! I certainly will. I'm learning Photoshop Elements 9 as well as Lightroom. The rose will give me something to work with there!

Water - Always interesting.

This was shot with my KX and the 55-300MM lens. It was a bright day and very windy. It was great weather for water shots.

k-x captures

There are a few I like that I have online.

Valentine's inspired, as I recall...

Strangely lit still, found it interesting

A farmhouse on the way to my daughter's school. I edited this in lightzone to be very contrasty and vignetted, just to add a little something

Early spring in the Maritimes. The air was just warm and humid enough to create a fog over the winter's snow.

My cousin and I were asked (begged) to do a wedding for a friend. I rented an FA 50 1.4 and got this shot:

Then today, I was sitting in my car wanting to shoot something cool with my new 16-45 f4, and I liked the way the light played on my messenger bag:

I really can't get over the detail the 16-45 produces!'

Both shots are straight out of the camera.

FA 28-90. This lens has some seriously undeserved bad rep IMHO.

The house was torched for practice and to simply get rid of it - its been falling apart for a while and basically was a danger to the neighborhood just by its being there.

It made for a fun morning with the camera though!
