Went to a parade today. My Sigma 70-300 surprised me by nailing just about every shot I took with it perfectly. I think I've been ignoring this lens a bit too much. I took a few shots that easily qualify as some of my personal favorites.

Here are a couple of recent ones that I have done with my two recently aquired lenses, one is a Tamron 75~300 lens, and the other is a 28~200 Tamron, even though these lenses were cheap @ around $20 each on Craigslist, they feel high quality and I am happy with the results I get with them.

Another shot of my babies, this camera continues to amaze me, it is incredible how nice my shots come out for the price of the camera.

Dan Wheldon 2011 Indy 500 winner

Took photo opening day at track. Didn't know he was going to win the Indy 500! Taken with K-x and Sigma 17-70mm lens. Was about two feet away from him.

Nice work John5100. Very well composed and great colour.

Dustette, I have a question: I'm really digging that de-saturated High contrast look. The coloured photos almost seem to maintain a faint golden to them, are these shot from RAW and processed, or do you have quick settings in camera for these types of pics?

hi firefly, i'm a beginner in photography and pp so I just shot them in jpg and applied the default preset 'aged photo' in Lightroom and then did some minor adjustments. :-)

A few KX shots converted to B&W

A few shots converted to B&W. I really do love the small size of the KX, especially when I walk around with an old 28 Takumar lens.
