Noise when mirror is up

Hi I have just pick up my new K7 yesterday.

I have been playing around today and have noticed a funny sound coming from the camera when the mirror is up, either long exposure or when taking video. Its hard to explain but sounds like something is arcing or short circuit.

Does this happen on anyone else's camera.

I have the K-x not the K-7, but I've also noitced that noise. I think it's noise from the mechanisim that holds the mirror or shutter open, or could be a high frequnecy resonance from the power supply circuit. Originally I thought it was the SR but the noise is still present with SR turned off.

Even with SR off, the sensor has to be held in place. The noise is perfectly normal; happens on all Pentax DSLR's.
