Kx + viewfinder magnification

Kx + viewfinder magnification, what are the options?

i'm looking to enlarge it.. is there a safe way?

I've seen in post your best kx shots, a person sanded something on the viewfinder..
but is there anything like end product? exactly for kx..
if so, could you give me a link or at least a name of it..
thanks.

Pentax O-ME53
does about 1.2x magnification. easy installation and works really well on my K-x.
Hope this is what you are looking for.

You could also try this

Z-Finder - Zacuto

Assuming you had a lazy $395 floating around.

well it's huge.. and of course I do not have spare 400$ and if I did, I would spend on something like FA 35/2 or 55-300mm

thanks anyway.

I like the O-M353. It's a little disappointing at first becuaee you don't notice a *huge* difference right away, but after a few weeks of shooting both with and without, it became increasingly clear I was better off with. That's with the K200D, but same basic viewfinder.

If you're referring to me... no, it's not the K-x itself that I sanded, but just the optional KPS magnifier. I detailed the process here

Another option is Pentax magnifier FB which I think should work on all Pentax DSLR.
It gives 2x magnification so it will only show center part of VF, but as it got a hinge it is easy to flip up when you need to see the whole VF.

O-ME53 is better for general use, but for manual focus a magnifier FB might be a better option.
And as K-x got live-view you can use that for manual focus.

The magnifier FB is also quite pricey if you can get hold of one.

I hope you've wrote the code of the item wrong, because i cannot find with such code any items.. but for O-ME53 I do find.
hope it's the same thing.

but you know one letter wrong, and I could get an Item wchich wouldn't fit..
I believe, since I replaced K7 with Kx the viewfinder is the area, which will be a compromise, and if it's possible to improve it, I have to do it.
thanks anyway.

another question:

will I get some drisadvantage with that magnification screen?
i've read in other thread that some viewfinder information will become not readable (blurred)

is it true?

Not blurred, but if you wear glasses, you might not be able to get your eye close enough to see the info display at the bottom and the entire image at the same time. It does take a minute to get used to that.

Hi mystic,
in regards to Pentax O-ME53, wish I had read Marc's post before I scratched
LCD with frame of glasses,Works pretty good once LCD "adjustment" period
