Will Canon Speedlite 270EX work with K-x?

I have a Canon Speedlite 270EX. Does anyone know if it will work on the K-x?

I've read conflicting information on whether it is safe to use or not or whether it will work at all.

Thanks.

If it works, it'll work at full power only. There's no automation. I don't think it can break your K-x though. If it works on Canon dslr, the voltage won't be too high for K-x.

Well, I tried it. It worked once at full power and then never again. I put it back on my other camera and it works fine there, but not on the K-x anymore...
