Ds and the Tamron 300mm 2.8 adaptall

Got a question. I just bought the Tamron 300mm 2.8 Adaptall II 60B lens for use with my Pentax Ds. I have the Pentax adaptall PKa mount. When I put the lens on the AE setting and the camera on Av setting It will tell me the F stop is F4.0 and will not go to the lowest F stop of 2.8. I put the camera on M and set the lens to 2.8 and it says it is still F4.0 What is up. I have cleaned the contacts and did the scrapping of the screw head but still cannot get the camera to recognize the F2.8 setting. What am I missing here? Any info appreciated.

Well I went back and cleaned the contacts again and now it works as it is supposed to so "Never Mind"
