K20D-CUSTOM SETTINGS

I tweek my photos using Paint Shop Pro.I'm curious as to what custom setting k20d owners use when taking pics. When i shoot scenics i generally use "vibrant" or "landscape" with the saturation, contrast, sharpness cranked up a notch or two.
How about night time time exposures noise level settings? I don't shoot raw so I'm just talking what is best for optimal jpeg settings right out of the box.-charliezap

I shoot RAW + Jpeg, Bright mode +1 contrast, +2 sharpness. Manual white balance, especially at night. Be sure you remove any lens filters at night. Max ISO set to 1600. I use the FA 50mm 1.4 a lot at night.

I'd say if you're happy with the results you are getting, go with them. However, I don't really understand why people fear RAW so much. It gives you the greatest control over the end result, even with simple tweaks. I do shoot RAW+ so for the JPGs that come out of the camera, I'm pretty satisfied just leaving everything zero'd. If I decide to punch something up (or down), I still find it more satisfying to do so in post processing where I have greater control to selectively apply different settings. Maybe that's just me though...
