K20D Discontinued?

Is it me?

pentaximaging.com shows the K20D, but clicking the "Buy Now" link gives a "item not available" error. Usually, if soemthing is sold out, it's still listed, but you can't purchase it.

Going straight to pentaxwebstore.com, and going to dSLR section shows no K20D any more.

Wonder if something new is coming down the pipe maybe?
I really don't see the K7 as a K20D replacement, at least not for me....

Funny. The K20 has not been made for quite awhile. The thing is that there is still quite a bit of old stock out there that is still selling. I think Pentax themselves described the K7 as not a sequel to the K20, but a different direction.

Most of the major suppliers in the UK seem to have stopped listing the K10.

The OP was referring to K20D not K10D.

Anyways, I'm looking to get a K20D refurbished since I missed last deal at Best Buy when it was at $499.

Ah yes, my mistake.

I did mean the K20 because I'm actually looking into getting one to replace my K10.
They are out there, but the main dealers aren't listing the K20 on their websites now, they're naturally showing Kx & K7. etc.

K7 is not a K20D replacement but K20D was too good that further firmware updates to improve performance could possibly compete with K7 sales.

If think of it this way, K20D + Kx makes one K7 at around the same price.

It's looking like they haze fazed out the K20 from their product line. I was looking through the pentax store last night and noticed that you can't even buy one directly from Pentax anymore. All they list are K-7's and k_x's.
