I saw a Pentax 35-70/2.8 AF listed on eBay, but somehow didn't add it to my watch list. But it was one of the original AF lenses: looks like an A series with an external AF contraption added to it. Pretty ugly, somewhat similar to the first AF lenses Nikon made for their F3.
I know the AF is useless, but MF is still possible.
What I'm wondering is . . . can anyone speak to the IQ of this lens? I didn't see any listing of it in the lens database, though I'm not sure exactly which category it would fit it. (I'd guess it'd go with the A series zooms, but I didn't see it there.)
I'm not planning on bidding on it, but I thought someone here might. But I am curious about the image quality of this 2.8 version. . . .
