K-X Quick Question

This is a question about... SD cards or SDHC, specifically for the K-X. Would a class 2 card be okay on it? or would it be best to get a class 6? Does anyone know what class the K-X is?

Yes a class 2 SD card will work with the KX. The class corresponds to the speed that the card can read and write at. With higher class cards you will probably be allowed to do continuous shooting faster. Maybe. because I'm pretty sure the camera on board memory will still limit the shooting fps. The KX can handle both SD and SDHC cards. as anything above 2 gb will be SDHC. (high capacity)

Every card will work for photos, but for video a faster card is needed.

You don't need a top speed card, eg a Sandisk Ultra-II wil do just fine...

Oh okay, I think I'll get a fast one... as I am planning to shoot *some* video with it. I wonder how much 2 star video can 8gb hold...

I'm using a 16Gb Ultra-II card which works fine for video in the highest quality.

You can download the K-X manual, on page 299 you'll find that
1280x720 ** will fit 16 min 29 sec on a 4Gb card (11 min 45 sec for ***)
