AF Point lights question.

Hello everyone,

I havent had my K10D long and have a question about the AF Point lights. When the AF is set to "Auto" sometimes I see more than one red light, sometimes its two side by side, other times its just one light. Is this normal? I was just wondering since the "Select" mode only gives you the choice of one AF point light. I looked in the manual on this topic and didnt find any answers. Any info is appreciated!

The reason one of more point would light up is because they are the points that are in focus, the two points happen to be at the same distance from the camera, so both the points are in focus.

The dial on tha camera back has three positions:

1) auto : the camera will use one or more points to lock focus, and you will see which one(s) it is using in the viewfinder

2) Single : the camera uses centre point only

3) Selectable : you select which single point the camera will use with the four-way switch.
