Well I was hoping to get myself a used K20 but a, they are rare and b, I am investing studio wise so the budget was a little constrained. So anyway I now have myself a K10 which I have often seen compared to a Canon 30D which was my first 'proper' dSLR and I sold on last year. Is it a fair comparison? Nope, not at all, for although I've only played with it a little so far the Pentax pee's all over the Canon.

I've started enjoying dSLR's again! OK the ist is a grand little camera but it's limited, The K10 will do all my non MF work (event and website) with ease without breaking the bank or my soul.

No pics worth showing yet as I had my WB set all wrong but it's early days.

Well I think I'm getting the hang of it now. Taken in the last of this evenings sun so the glow is genuine-

Also heavily cropped. The lens was the 50-200 WR.

Edit. Looks a bit cooler on the site for some reason.

I've had my K10 for a few years now, and it still surprises me.

I've owned both and honestly I think I do prefer the 30D. The photos just looked prettier to me though.

I've owned both as well. The 30d had faster AF, no shutter lag and more FPS. The 30d lacked weather seals which I really needed a few weeks ago while trying to take pictures and it started to snow. I sold the 30d and now am the proud owner of a K7 which I might add pee's all over my previous Canon stuff.
