Hi everyone

I have a *ist DL and have had a few issues with dust on the sensor and wondered if I would gain much by upgrading to the K100D I see Jessops are doing some good deals at the moment? I would like a K10D but am low on budget at the moment.

Any thoughts

I've had the sensor cleaned I just wanted to know if i would gain anything in purchasing the K100D, But having just seen that jessops are selling K10d with 15-55mm lens for £499.99 I think I will buy one of those instead

If you want to upgrade on the ist* ds, youre going to need to get the k10d. The K100D would simply be nothing but a waste of money for you. Either keept the ist*ds and buy a $500 lens, or save another $300 and get the k10d.

I have decided to get the K10D. I have ordered it on line from Jessops.com £499.99 inc 18-55mm SMC lens.

Ok so I have received my new K10D with an SMC 18-55mm Lens.

I have tried it with all of my lenses and it appears to work with them all even my old Sigma 400mm APO

Now need to find 2 weeks to read the manual

It is a much nicer camera than my *ist DL and feels more substantial in the hand.

I have a photoshoot with a young lady this coming Friday so will post some images using both cameras for comparrision.

Oh did I mention I also got 12 months intrest free credit on it

haha. nice.

gratz. i want a k10d myself, but am going to have to wait a couple of months.
i just preordered the two new supersonic pentax lenses, so i'll probably get one
in september if they dont announce a better camera before then.

i am anticipating those pictures dave!

Ok so Friday came and a few photos were taken. I have to say the K10D is a joy to use just put it manual mode set shutter to 180 and attached the wireless trigger to hotshoe took a few sample shots and set appature to F8. here are the results. All untouched and as they came out of the camera.

Heh, you did something similar to me... I had the K110, thought about the K100, since most of my shots were becoming more and more indoors in low lighting, but without flash etc. I wanted the shake reduction.

I ended up leaving with a K10d, and have been happy since!
