Question before I fry my new K-7

I just got a new K-7 so I ordered a few 3rd party batteries from bestbatt.com. They turned up today, and charge fine on my Pentax charger, but they read 7.4 volts when the Pentax K-7 battery is 7.2V. Should I be worried about this at all?

that shouldn't mater, however I'm sure that you'll find they don't last as long.

I'll go ahead and reach the inevitable conclusion of this thread and save us all some time:

random person: I use 3rd party batteries and they're fine

random person: me too, but they don't let me recharge them as often before becoming useless

me: proprietary batteries suck, I like my battery grip

random person: you just have to not forget to charge your batteries

me: blabla everyone is less forgetful than me

random person: but why does SDM suck so much?

Damn Brit: moved to some obscure sub-forum because I'm feeling random today

Wheatfield: obviously the user is an idiot in this case

...thread disappears into obscurity...

Mr. GoremanX you get my vote for best post of the week. At least, the most entertaining.

I demand that GoremanX be banned off the forums for denying all the other posters their usual quota of self-gratification!

I'm using a third party battery in my K7 too. It's rated 7.2v w/ 3500mAh. I managed to take about 1400 shots on the first charge, which took me about 3 weeks time. Pretty good for a third party battery which costs like 1/4 of an original one.

I had a short review here:

Wow frank! Can you give me a link where to get that 3500 mah version? That's very impressive, and could even replace both my batteries including the OEM one which is only 1860 mah. That'll give me nearly 3 thousand shots before being depleted if I had one in my grip also.

There's a 2800 mAh one available from Beach Camera, that's the highest mAh rating I've seen available this side of the Pacific. It's $25.

edit: hey! You guys are ruining my script!
