K-x auto bracket slow fps?

In "high speed" drive mode, I can shoot 4-5 RAW pics holding the shutter button. In auto-bracket mode, I can only shoot 2 pics, then a several second pause, and then it shoots the 3rd. If I press and release the shutter button quickly, I can sometimes get 3 pics, sometimes not.

The camera is in Av mode, focus set to MF.

Has anyone else experienced this discrepancy? Is auto-bracket mode somehow more taxing on the cpu than just plain 'ol high speed shooting?

You realize of course that bracketing implies that the shutter speed will get progressively longer for each shot? Depending on how you have it set, each shot can have a shutter speed that's up to 4 times longer than the previous one.

It's not a discrepency, it's normal. That's how each exposure is different from the others.

Also, Custom setting number 7 determines which order the shots are taken in.

shooting into the sun, the "slow" shutter speed was 1/640

problem was lens correction got turned on, apparently when I was messing with the raw developer settings :/ more operator error!

Even if you the camera is supposed to have blazing speed in continuous shooting but you shoot in low light, then the camera compensates for the proper exposure thereby slowing up speed and you can't do anything about it..not unless you go into Tv mode and set it to a higher speed but then all your exposures would not be right.
