like you, i also had some problem deciding what color to get. I wanted red at first, but it doesnt look that good in actual.I just ordered white instead cause its not that common since black is always the color for DSLRs. Also, i ordered white cause it was cheaper in amazon.co.jp than red or black.

The double 55-300 kit (black only) is a WAY better deal than the white kit. it's essentially 100$ extra or a 250$ lens.

That said i do own the white one and it is uite a beauty

Well I love the white one I bought. It was used but it was 50$ cheaper than any other ones which was the navy...
But white one takes better pictures anyways... j/k...

I like it cuz it is different without being an attention whore... or ugly...

Well if you want to fit in with the rest of the crowd, you can go with the black version of the camera, but if you want to be different, like the rest of us Pentax folk love to try and be, then I'd suggest the white. Besides, who else has a white camera!?

As it is your first DSLR, you should be more concerned about understanding all the functions and possibilities of the camera instead of merely what it looks like. Buy, READ the manual, and enjoy!
