Cannot select ISO 100 in K-7

I have the K-7 and I am not able to select ISO 100. In AUTO ISO settings too, the lower ISO starts from 200. Is it like that or my camera alone has this problem ?

Make sure Highlight Correction is not on, if it is, your lowest ISO becomes ISO 200.

Your highlight compensation is on. Click Info and you can turn it off. This one fooled me a week ago while I was shooting some sunset pictures.

I don't have the K-7 but perhaps you have the Expand Dynamic Range function turned on. On my camera, the K200D, base ISO then starts at 200. Turn it of and you should be able to dial in ISO 100 again.

Highlight or shadow compensation will increase the ISO to 200.

That is incorrect. You can still chose ISO100 with Shadow Correction enabled.

You're talking about the "auto iso setting" in the first menu page?

Well, when you press the "right" button (left one is WB), you go in the auto iso setting.
Ok that far? Press right again and you'll be able to choose your lowest and highest iso.

My settings are 100-800 (and auto iso setting on slow). If I want to go above, I have to push the ISO button and then I can go above 800 ISO.

Since you have 200 on lowest, you can only go below 200 if pushing the ISO button.
Is that right? Or did I misunderstood?

I don't know about highlight correction since I don't use it. But you can give the auto iso settings a try. Change 200 to 100 to start with And another thread says Dynamic Range Ex. is the solution.

Good luck and tell us if it worked.

It's the one called something like Extended Dynamic Range, go and set auto-iso, just rotate the rear dial (or front one, I don't have K-7 with me right now) and it should turn the feature on or off.
