"I found a K20D locally for 350 euros and it comes with an extra battery + remote. Only has 3500 actuations so almost pristine. Not a steal but a very good price IMO."

Congratulations!! I don't know about you dude, but that sounds like a great deal to me. K20D was also my first Pentax DSLR, and not long ago K10D was going for 400USD with K20D going for 650USD easily. I purchased a used one as part of a bundle and I enjoyed it so much when the rebates came from Pentax I upgraded to K-7 and more lenses. Enjoy your K20D, you're right in saying that you won't need anything else until something amazing comes around in the future.

The K20D was my first venture into Pentax cameras coming from the Nikon world and I haven't looked back since. It's a fabulous camera and I can't believe how long the battery lasts. I was sick with pneumonia for a few months and didn't touch the camera. The battery in the camera and the two spares were still fully charged. After several days of shooting the level still is nearly full. Just amazing.

Have fun!

Great move! Bought mine because it promised a relatively smooth adaptation from Minolta mount gear to Pentax, particularly with a bellows outfit I own. Not sure about the real technical stuff, but I'm enjoying learning. Best wishes for some great photography.

Congrats on the new camera! I made the jump from the K100D Super and I absolutely love the K20D. When I got mine new I also paid $615 and I think it was worth every penny!

Absolutely useless camera! Get rid of it and buy a Canon, a REAL camera.

If you do insist on keeping it and, aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhh, shooting pictures with it, well...that's your decision. Do not try to get an awful lens like the DA*50-135mm or the Limiteds either!

His recommending you to get the FA Limiteds and the DA* twins 16-50/50-135 F2.8s

Actually, it's one of the best APS-C cameras out there at high ISO - beat only by K-x and a couple other more recent cameras using the same or a similar sensor.
