I'm have a K7 and a question. I wanted to use the "User" mode for soccer pics of my son's high school team. I want to take both video & stills, so using the "user" mode on the dial right next to the "video" mode would be very handy.
The problem is I often use a custom white balance & grey card as the lights at the stadium can really cause havoc on an image's color (I do shot RAW). When I set the custom white balance in "AV" mode & save the setup as a "user" mode preset, the camera always reverts to that original custom white balance. Even if I change the custom white balance with a grey card throughout the evening as the sun goes down and the stadium lights are more prevalent, when the K7 goes into "power save" or I shut the camera off, the custom white balance goes back to the original setting when the "user" mode was first saved???
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to eliminate the white balance setting from being part of the saved info of the "user" setting?
Basically I want to use the same settings for all the games, only changing the white balance occasionally as the nights progress.
I hope I'm explaining this correctly & that it's understandable.
