Any improvements with the K-X owners with the new Firmware?

Is this one of those "silent" sub releases of 1.01? If so have not tried it yet and curious to know who is saying it has changed?

i think so. some already tried. Tthe pentax site have .07.

No, the OP's link to the Japan site has a firmware file FWDC206B.BIN that has a different checksum to FW 1.01.00.07 -

File downloaded just now from the Japan link -

the most noticeable improvement is more accurate battery reporting when using rechargeables AA

My kx ISO lowest setting is 400 instead of 200.
Does anybody have any clue?
I tried to update the firmware, but i don't know the procedure after I downloaded the .bin fine to a SD.
Please help. much appreciate

I think you have the default ISO range set - which is 200-6400
BUT you may have Highlight Correction On which makes the lowest ISO 1 stop higher since it uses the lowest ISO in the protection.

To get ISO200 again - either -
turn Highlight Correction OFF
or
expand the ISO so that ISO100 is part of the range.

As for doing the firmware upgrade -
read and carefully follow the instructions on the download page
and the ReadMe file that comes with the Firmware.

The only other very important thing is to make sure you have fully charged or fresh lithium batteries when doing the upgrade.

The battery indicator should show Full Green - otherwise do NOT continue - as you may brick your K-x.

Turn off highlight and shadow protection then enable "expanded sensistivity" in custom settings.
