A Free K7 Warranty for only $19.95US

Such a deal. And Amazon.com of all places.

I wonder if they know that K7 (edit: US) owners can extend their K7 warranties by 2 years for free by contacting Pentax Imaging directly?

Wow...even better...must be an even greater value! Be interesting how many other extended "warranties" this JR outfit sells. Are they crooks or just preying on decent folks?

It is not really free if it has a price.
What I'm wondering is why it has "free shipping"??
Maybe they will shoulder the shipping of the camera if ever it breaks down and shipped for repairs??..hmmm

What they are trying to say is,that you can get the2 year extended warranty free and that these companies are trying to rip people of by offering them for money. The free shipping on that one for 49.99 is also a joke .I can't beleive anyone will pay for these, but some people think they are getting a deal on extended warrenties.

Tangential but about the actual free 2 year warranty; can anyone tell me if it applies for a K-7 purchased outside the US (specifically Japan)?

It's only for US sales unfortunately. I can't really imagine why though.

I couldn't help but notice that you are being repetitiously redundant there, I noticed.

Just a quick side hijack...

Is there a warranty available for those that purchased a used K-7? Pentax Imaging says mine is not under any warranty because I am not the original owner.

I think somewhere Pentax states that warranty applies only for original owner.

You may be able to work out something with the previous (assuming original) owner.
