Yes, but I still love K-7
I found that, at the same apeture and same ISO (ISO>400), it seems that K-7 is faster than K-x...

Can you take a little time to explain this to us:

You don't have a KX based on your signature, so what point or comparison are you trying to make?

Even with the noise, the picture is still good. I'd play to play with a k-7 someday...

Try using Neat Image for the noise.

But the grain isn't a bad thing.

The shot is nice. I like the grainy touch of the shot. It goes well with the old pentax body. I am not sure that I would complain.

Is that actual non-post noise from the K-7 at 800?

If so, I no longer want one.

I would almost bet on the fact that the shot was underexposed and then pushed in PPing.
But then I've never had K-7 so what do I know.....

That looks like a JPEG that has a little too much processing, because honestly I think that looks more like ISO 3200 than 800. I have never seen a camera (even the K10D) that looks that bad at ISO 800 too. Not to mention that the noisy looks more like a mottle, not grainy.
