Best "k-7" menu settings

What are the "no Brainer" best settings.
You know what I mean?
Like the settings that you turned on and off when you first got your K-7.

I am sure that everyone will have different opinion. For me, I always use/check single shot versus continuous shooting when I start. I do a lot of continuous shooting (Hi) and I often switch from Hi to single shot.

With my FZ20, I had a single button to switch/toggle between single shot, Hi continous and Low continuous. I miss the 'single' button on the K-7.

Well, I solved this problem by enabling Hi-c once for all and controlling bursts or single shot by finger pressure... I still takes the occasional two continuous shots, but this does not bother me...

As for the OP:
- RAW
- AF point on SEL
- Iso on front wheel
- Permit A ring
- Wireless flash in controller mode
- Hi-C (single shot made by shutter release)
- AF button = cancel AF
- AF set on AF-C (revert to AF-S by pressing AF button once the AF is done)

Turn off the info screen on the back - very annoying.
Turn on hi-speed continuous.
Set raw.
Turn off AF from shutter button.

Before I even took the first picture with it...

E-Dials in the Av and Tv, front to ISO Rear to Aperture and Shutter speed.

Use Flash WB when using flash

Use the on camera flash as the controller when wireless.

Clean function On at power up

File type RAW+ (PEF)

JPG quality 4 stars

Since it's a menu item with the K7, SR On.

Allow Aperture ring

Catch In Focus, On.

JPG filters off, settings (Sat, Sharp, etc) set to Zero

Center AF point when AF pressed in SEL (though I never use that mode).

Noise Reduction to minimum on long exposures (wish they'd bring back the ability to just turn off DFS).

Set File name prefex (important because I have several cameras)

In random order, there they are. Most of them anyway.

I would not disagree with Arpe.

Keep in mind that the Hi continuous shooting with RAW will fill quickly the memory buffer and the frame rate will slow down then on.
