So do you have to download all the previous firmware upgrades or just the newest one to make them work.
No, you can go straight from firmware 1.00 (or whatever you have) to the latest one.

Any AF improvement for the K200D after the update? Some say they noticed such improvement with the K10D.

I would also like to know if anyone with K200 get the update and how that update improve?
Anyone knows how to roll it back if the firmware causing problems?

-- My K200 start giving 'error reading memory card' on my Sandisk Extreme III 8GB after I download picture to PC. I need to reformat the card from the PC and it reads again. I reformat the card in K200d everytime I have download pic from the card...

You can also take into consideration that you also might have a bad memory card.

It must be the season for updates. I updated my K20D and my Olympus E-P1 also got an update. Nice to see Pentax updating so many older cameras.

Feeling reckless, I went ahead and updated from 1.0.3 to 1.0.4 on my K20D per Pentax's instructions.

Debug mode still works and all my settings are saved including the +90 um adjustment I had dialed in.

I'm going to chime in based on some around the room tests and say that metering is definitely more accurate. Normally, shooting under room light tends to over-expose shots for poorly lit areas; right now, shots are coming out much closer to what I expect to see with shadowed areas properly exposed (using centered metering, at least).

Of more importance is that focusing seems much more decisive (testing with the 43mm which is typically slower in low light situations). I'm getting a much more decisive, initial tzt-tzt and confirmation of focus lock than previously.

Lastly, time from flipping the power switch to getting focus & IS lock seems much faster.

Wishful thinking? I dare say not...

I've updated all my K20D's and K10D's a few days ago and I'm pleased to report back to all, no problems whatsoever, just does what it says on the tin.

Mind you I had no problems even before the firmware update, I'm a happy Pentax bunny.

If you have problems getting to the K10D update on the Pentax USA site (I kept getting a proxy error) you can also download it at Latest K10D Firmware Update : Software Downloads : PENTAX

I am about to update my K20D tonight, been waiting to see what people think of the new firmware before hand, sounds like it might be a good thing. Hopefully the AF improvement? will help out with the Sigma 70-200. Any more K20D owners out there that have applied the new firmware and got an improvement in AF. Thats something I would really like to happen.
I have never had any problems with my camera so normally would wait & see what people think of the updates, but I will be shooting some motorcross 2morrow so if there is an AF improvement I will put it on 2night and try it out.
