K100D Firmware

Has there been an update to the K100D Firmware?

Looking at the review of the K100D on DPReview, some of the issues raised could be addressed like this.

Version 1.02 available here.
Pentax Imaging - Software & Firmaware Updates
This update also includes all of the updates in 1.01.

Pretty minor update. I would expect another one after the K100D Super comes out.

Me too. They even haven't fixed the Auto ISO bug for the K100D up till now (which EV compensation will defeat the function immediately).

When you set exposure compensation, Auto ISO stops working and ISO is fixed to lowest possible value.
This is fixed in K10D.

Surely, this is not so when ISO is set manually? Or is it?
I never work in Auto ISO, but it would be good to know.

Thanks,
Bostjan

But for those who use and want to use the Auto ISO feature, it is really a bad thing. But anyway, it is still good to know about the bug but usually we all learnt that after we had lost some shots, I believe.

ok, I think I found that bug out.

I thought the using mine to take a picture of the moon and reading as ISO as 200, apature was 5.6 and shooting at 1/180 seemed quite low for a picture. I would have preferred a higher ISO, larger apature and slower shutter speed. I already turned off the auto ISO and set it to 400 for now.

Sorry, but it has nothing to do with bug we are talking about.
BTW, moon is quite bright and I don't see nothing wrong with 1/180 sec, f/5.6 and ISO200. In such conditions automatic ISO would not increase ISO and would keep it at lowest possible value (what it did in your case).

My K100D has a bug when I press the AE-L button using manual lenses, the shutter snaps and a digital preview appears, anyone here experienced that? And shooting dark or night scenes, there's a spot on my camera(no matter what lens I use) on the same,um, spot. I zoomed it and it's a bluish cross... what is this? Can these be fixed by a firmware update?

That's a hot pixel -- there's a blue receptor which is stuck "on". Some cameras have a handy feature where these can be mapped out by the end-user -- no such luck with the K100D. (I don't think the K10D either, but I may be wrong.) However, if you send it to Pentax, they can map it out.
