Hacking into a K-7 to disable NR above 30 seconds

Quick intro: the ability to completely disable NR on long exposures is something I've ranted about in various places including DPR, photo.net and in an online petition.

It maybe that there is in fact a backdoor hack solution - has anyone tried this? If you look at the Pentax Hack Site there are a couple of commands in "SYSPARAM.TXT" - DISABLENR, FORCE_LEXP_DPC. Has anyone successfully fiddled with this stuff to customise their Pentax body, ie turn this stuff on/off?

The first problem, in general, is going to be you need to know what extension to use on your Modset.xxx file. That is, if you are past firmware v1.01. The answer to your question though, is no, I have not been able to try it. Would like to but, haven't been able to.
