in my raw image, even at 100 iso I got extreme noise in my dark area and out of focus even when not crop.
when I check my picture in the camera everything is fine, but it is when I put the raw on my computed thing begin to get ugly.

is there someting I done wrong with my setting, seems like nothing is changin a thing

Welcome to the club..

To begin with, I'm not noting a lot of noise in your image. Secondly, it's ISO 400, not ISO 100. Maybe That is your issue?? Third, I would not use the screen on the camera to judge image quality of any sort. Put it on your computer screen and learn to effectively post process your images by applying the appropriate amount of noise reduction. Noise reduction btw, is not applied to RAW images in the camera. RAW images are simply data files from which the JPG is created. RAW, (PEF or DNG) is not a photo file in and of itself.

it is iso 400, but I have same problem at 100
I juste dont understand, with my k10d thing where pretty clean even at 400
I tried a lot of thing, but at 100 iso I should not need to use noise reduction

but thanks for the answer

You can not possibly post a picture in RAW, you have to use convert it to jpeg (adobe in your case). Second, as JeffJS said you have it in iso400, and also manual exposure with spot metering. One thing not sure is whether you are deliberately under-exposing it. Even then I don't really see too much noise. This is not indicative of any problem at all.

this is raw directly converted to jpeg by ligthroom, I under exposed because the problem is really in the dark areas,
I just dont understand why there is so much noise especialy in out of focus areas (even a 400 iso)
the camera is incredible, but I just cant get my picture out as good as my K10d in the same situation. even with noise reduction I still find the picture useless

It happens to my k10D too if I under-expose the picture. The only difference as far as I can see is the CMOS sensor on the K-7 versus the CCD sensor on the K10D. Perhap, in this regard, the CCD sensor has a slight edge over the CMOS sensor. On the other hand, if I do obtain proper exposure (either by flash or by tripod), I don't really see too much problem with my K10D going up to iso 640. I seldom push it beyond iso 800 as I generally find that not usable in a meaningful way.

100 iso the wall is just out of focus and on my computer screen I see incredibly a lot of noise in the shadows

I'm sorry, but I'm still not seeing the problem even in this example. I detect some slight banding, as if the transition from light yellow to dark yellow is not perfectly smooth, but it's nothing disturbing.

Well, get your exposure right and I think you'll find that the K7 is a fine performer, even at ISO 100, In the dark...

Try posting some examples of correctly exposed shots at iso 100-400 and see what feedback you get. (i.e., what Jeff just posted)

ok, I think I've fond my problem

I was watching your exemple on my calibrated screen and the looked perfect,
once i cheked them on my laptop screen they had the same problem, mayby it the bigger pixel count or my screen contrast that is too high, but on a great screen well exposed everything seem fine.

thanks everyone, Pentax forums is an incredible community.

Thank you.. I only wish I had taken the one before I carried the trash out that night. That way there would only have been the bicycle tire mark in the sidewalk snow. It's Michigan. I'll get another shot at it next year. Hell, I may even get one more shot This year .. Don't like the weather? Wait a minute, It'll change

Sure was chilly waiting for those long exposures after midnight though.

Thanks again!

Fully agreed.

JeffJS, well done for these marvellous shots. My preferences are the 1st and 3rd. It make me proud to be K-7 owner.
