Thank you for posting these. Which lens did you use with the K-5 to create the profiles?

I did the same with a X-Rite target, and the result is 99% identical to your "Camera faithful" profile.
What is a bit puzzling to me is that "camera faithful" doesn't seem to mean "reality faithful." You'll get much more saturation than with in-camera's "Natural" profile, and than the colors as seen with your eyes. Blue and Red hues seem way more saturated to me, it's obvious with skies.
Have you tired to create a profile that would be close to the "Natural" jpeg in-camera setting?

It seems to me the closest to the in-camera Natural profile is the embedded one. Of course it lacks some contrast or curve kick compared to the in-camera jpeg, but the colors are pretty close. I get a slight magenta cast too, but that could be sample variation.

K5 Profiles

Since downloading these K5 profiles I have been using them all of the time and am very pleased with them. Thank you for doing this and making them available

Much appreciated; eager to try.

How, exactly, do you get Lightroom to recognize these profiles (ver 4.1, windows 7).

thanks,

fred

Just as I wrote in the initial post.

Put it under C:\Users\[yourwindowsusername]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles\PENTAX K-5
where you replace "[yourwindowsusername]" with your windows user name.
You may have to enable "see hidden folders" in your window view to find it...

You can also type it manually in the address bar.

First post in thread deleted -- strange. They were there the other day. Profiles revoked?
