Point & Shoot Contest #33 - B&W

THEME - "B&W"

I thought it might be a good idea to go for a broad theme. Might be extra difficult to judge but perhaps we'll get a good number of participants this way.
The theme is perhaps not all that original but it's up to you to address this with all the creativity you can muster

Since we're a bit late in the month to start and this period is vacation time for a lot of folks, I would let this contest run till the end of August.
So everybody can join in .

Oh, and don't be afraid of some "grain" in the pictures...

THE RULES
1. Have fun!
2. No 35mm, APS, or 4/3 SLR/DSLR cameras allowed. 110 film SLRs, 35mm and smaller rangefinder/viewfindercameras are allowed. No medium or large format cameras allowed.
3. Entries will close on August 29th, 2010.
4. Maximum image dimensions are 800x800 pixels.
5. List camera brand, model with entry for all to see.
6. THEME: "B&W"
7. Max of 3 photographs per person.
8. Post processing is fine.
9. Winner will set up and judge next contest.

Let's see your entries, people!

This sounds fun. Maybe if I go back to a film camera for this one I'll get some awesome results like I did for the Composition contest.

Go for it, unixrevolution

By the way, people, I'll be away on holiday for the next weeks.
So little response is to be expected from me.

Hope to see some great entries when I return

I have a Balda Baldamatic II and Pentax IQZoom 105WR loaded with Kodak B&W, so we shall see.

By the way, is there any additional guidance on the theme, or are we left to ponder that meaning for ourselves?

You are completely free!
Some subjects are better suited to B&W than others perhaps but that is entirely up to the photographer.

That is correct. New or old are both fine.

Well, I'm back from holidays.

No entries to be seen yet

I know I've set a longer period for this one but that doesn't mean you have to wait till the end - gives me some time to prepare

Come on, who wants to get things started?

I hope I won't be the only one to run. BTW, do you prefer uploading photos to the user's gallery or leave them attached in a post (as I did) ?

Oh, and I have 2 other tries to give

Certain victory in that case

I leave that up to you. Either way is fine. You can link to another website as well: Flickr, Picassa, Smugmug, Pbase, Zenfolio,...
I think the image quality of the other options may be better than the attachments, however, depending on the size, I believe.

Looking forward to your other entries!

Naaah, I don't plan to win. It would be embarrasing to me: I'd have to find a subject for the contest to come, and I have no imagination.

Got none of them, but I'll edit my post to have the image in the gallery. Then the EXIF will be included as standard.
