Hey Barondla, I almost missed this one. Great image, I like the color and clarity.

Firstly, thanks to one and all for joining in to make this a viable competition. I enjoyed setting this up and the images submitted are excellent examples in displaying the 'A Helping Hand' theme. Now comes the selection of photos for review.

I like this image for its portrayal of men working together for the common good under adverse conditions. They have banded together to mutually protect their property and source of recreation and livelihood. It shows how a group works together for continued survival. I also liked the video.

This image made me laugh. These two look like they are having fun while helping each other to stay clean. We often forget the struggle that animals go thru in a changing environment.

I like this one as it is a classic example of familial bonds. As adults we spend our time helping our children grow and in return they do the same for us. The cycle of helping each other goes on for a lifetime.

And here is the winner. This image conveys the concept of illuminating the world for the benefit of everyone and in my judgment represents the helping hand concept in its intrinsic form. Prometheus is smiling over this one.

So Congratulations to Bart on his winning entry and to all the participants. Honorable mention goes to unixrevoultion for his honesty. Best of luck to all in the next competition. Mike

I must have missed that last line on the winner's notification post. This must be the first time I was selected for an award in a photo contest where I didn't even submit anything.
