Ghl, even though your image was just "waving the camera around" it came out great. The highly scientific explanation was very interesting to me. Learned a lot from it.

Will have an entry for the B&W contest. Photo class ends tonight, freeing up the schedule. Still have plenty of time to enter.
thanks

I should be getting some for this one, myself. I just need to take the time to go out and take them. That, and I need to load some B&W film into an old Scale-focus camera and make sure I don't use anything I have to send out like last time.

Unixrevolution, what kind of film did you use that had to be sent off for so long?
thanks

My local minilabs can only do 35mm C-41, so any slide, true Black and White, or 120 film has to be sent out for processing. It can come back in a couple days, it may take two weeks.

I really need a darkroom, but have no money for supplies, or space.

Kodak #2 Cartridge Hawkeye Brownie Model C (circa 1926~1932)
Fuji Acros 100

Stone steps leading to Ogurayama Kannonin in Kiryu. Taken by mounting the camera on a tripod only a few inches off the ground and shooting up the steps.

1956 Yashicaflex A2 Twin Lens Reflex
Fuji Acros 100

View of Tokyo's Odaiba area from the central breakwater. Since the camera has a maximum shutter speed of one second I did this shot by using the Bulb setting with a cable release and counting out, "one-two-three-four-five-six".

1953 Mamiya Six Model V
Medium Format Folding Rangefinder
Fuji Presto 400

You might want to revise your post, Erik. I think we both just lost.

No revision is necessary. Yours will still be better than mine.

This is shaping up to be one of the best contests.

... But with nowadays techniques (digital, color pictures converted to B&W), the basis needs to be clean. You have to know what you're doing.
