Didn't you come in a bit after the closing deadline?

I posted my shots at 12:14AM EASTERN, and the deadline is 12:00AM Central. That means I got them in with 45 minutes to spare, as 12AM Central is 1AM Eastern.

My heartiest congratulations. I missed the central time zone bit. I live in a country with one time zone and it didn't even cross my mind about the zones.

First Place winner:

Bart: The atmosphere that this gives off is amazing, it gives off a very spooky feeling and the silhouette contrast is just right, very nice work! You totally deserve first place for this, great job!

Second Place Winner

ghl: This image superbly captured, you used great composition and the depth of field is very strong, great shot on a point and shoot.

Third Place winner:

Mike Cash: This is a very pleasing image to look at, I love the mysterious vibe that this path you captured gives off, I usually am not a fan of photos composed like this but this was really nicely done, great textures and contrast, lovely photo, great work!

Bart you will be in charge of handling the next contest, can't wait to see what you pick!

Hi folks !

I have to agree, there were many high-skill photos. I wish I could enter contests like this one everyday, even if I was out of ranking. I'd like to sincerely salute the winners.

Thanks, Abstract. Too much honour!

My congratulations to ghl & Mike Cash and in fact to all that entered.
This was indeed a contest with great entries all around.

I'll try to come up with a good theme for the next one.

What a great contest! Congratulations to Bart, ghl, and Mike Cash. All entries were strong with high image quality. Shows that the compact camera is a true photographic tool, capable of so much, in the hands of a real photographer.

Ready for #38 and the start of a new year! Happy New Year everyone.
thanks

Nice images by all. Bart's photo was hard to beat, very nice light and exposure. Congrats to him, Mike, and all who entered. See you all next month!
