Agreed. Great entries, Immunogirl.
And my favourite is also the second one. Especially in the context of this contest.

Icestorms are always interesting to photograph and sometimes hard to actually get good shots. The quince flowers worked really well in that 2nd picture My panasonic fz20k has an excellent leica lens that is very happy taking low light macro photos of flowers. So I did that for a few years and pretended I was a great photographer

Now I have a hard time stomaching taking photos of flowers.

Bart, I really liked the buds in your 3rd pic

Spring entry #1

Well, spring has been slow in coming we're finally in the thaw. Shot with Ricoh GRD3

So crocus is the name. Thanks for the wow and the flower name! I am really bad at names of birds, flowers and trees

Yes - that's taken with a camera phone, and I just applied an auto enhance with in-camera software, before uploading it to flickr. If the light is good, the IQ seems to be similar to that of a compact, but in low light, the performance seems to degrade faster. Here are the better shots I got out of this camera so far. You can see the noise in the keyboard shot.

Well, still not sure if this is the one I like most of the sequence, but I had my trusty old Lumix FZ-7 with me today on my walk, and I thought I'd put up a post. This one looked a bit like departing Winter.

This one seems very right for the theme: spring is almost there.

Thanks. There we're literally chunks of ice floating down the creek while I was there.

That came to a screaming halt yesterday as we got four inches of snow and the temp dropped below freezing. Though this late in the winter, the sun has a lot of power. The snow won't win for much longer.
