Nice Shot G.T. - how's it look in non-black & white?

Chubasco, love the 3rd entry. I can see judging is going to be difficult.

Greves - I also really like the woodpic.

Errr... I'll look for the original shot. It must have stayed on the card.

Another photo that doesn't count, I took it this weekend. I should have made it black & white. You guys have 18 days left to go:

Err... OK that's a skull... rabbit skull?
I'm confused with the spine, although it doesn't seem to be a snake?
(I could be running for the most useless comment award if it ever existed )

I have the colour version of my 2nd pic, but I still think it gets its strenght (in case it would have any) from B&W):

Well, doesn't everything gets better in B&W?

Astonishing creation, Immunogirl.

It's some sort of rodent skull on a stick - possibly a baby nutria or something like that.

I actually like that photo better in color - the background (the willow tree) is distracting in b&w. Although, maybe if you lighten the darks in black & white it'd help - you lose the detail in the pond reflections a bit in the black & white.

I should give a try... but I really prefer the B&W version.
An idea could be going into a wanted underexposure (I usually do the unwanted underexposure ) before converting the pic to B&W. I've read this somewhere before but never experienced myself.
