Nice theme. I'll give a try

By shadows, should we think the Shadows?

Or pictures of late night visitors or things that go knock in the night... Or maybe goths, if those still exist.

I like shadows, actually.

Usually, I'll walk in the shadow rather than in the sun.

So, unsurprisingly, I have some photos readily available for this theme.
All with Panasonic FX500.

Campo Santo in Gent, Belgium

Pier in Nieuwpoort, Belgium

B&W by itself

Allow me to add this one just for fun - outside of the contest that is.

I've been crawling through my archives and discovered I had no suitable pictures yet.

Great entries Bart, I think the graveyard one is the most powerful. I love Gent, Maybe about 7 years ago I spent a lot of time in Belgium.

G.T. - I guess you're just going to have to go out and take some pictures

Thanks G.T. Have to be true to my reputation

Thank you, Immunogirl. Nice to see you love Gent. Actually, I live just between Gent and Brugge (around 20 Km). Another 'mediaeval' town with good photo opportunities.

I still have one month to go out... I hope I'll have some light instead of rain: today was pretty wet.

My first one, with the Sony DSC-V1, aging 5MP point and shoot:

Hope to have a few more this time around. Sunlight does help...

There are always flashlights when there's no sunshine.

I like how you froze the water drops from the fountain.

this one better, taken with Olympus 35SP 35mm rangefinder, Fuji Xtra 400, BW conversion
in Silver Efex Pro:

My contributions, which of course don't actually count 'cause I'm judging. All taken with a pentax optio w60. I was actually pretty tempted to make this month's contest reflections instead of shadows.

Love that 2nd one, will be doing some kayaking on the Tennessee River later this month. The
last time I was in a kayak was the early 80's, sea kayaking near Vancouver BC.

Camera Pentax Optio 30
Exposure 0.003 sec (1/400)
Aperture f/2.9
Focal Length 5.8 mm
ISO Speed 50
