Nice work IG, but which ones are in for the contest?

Also... anyone... have I made a complete poobah of this comp? People sitting out who are normally in? This bothers me.

I like the perspective and the bit of blue sky near the horizon.

Kyte, you didn't make a poobah of the contest, if nothing else, I can enter another photo daily.

But we'll go with the canal photo, the kayak photo, and the window shot as my 3 entries.

Well, I've been hoping for some rainy weather to do some night shots with film,
will have to see. This is from a Ricoh FF-90, 35mm point and shoot. Not wet and
wild, but wet, lol:

Arista Color 400 film, no longer made

and one more from same camera:

Swamp near Decatur, AL:

Kodak HD-400, expired

Great shots, chubasco. From two different world and both wonderful.
Great perspective on the 1st.
That swamp is definitively wet.

Agreed

This is surprising. I thought they were supposed to be weather resistant from the K10D onwards?

Chubasco - I really like the perspective of the brick photo. Your Alabama photo reminds me of swimming in a "lake" in alabama when young - I used to be too scared to put my feet down, 'cause there were slimy tree trunks down there from when they'd reclaimed the swamp to make the lake. So I'd throw a raft into the water and jump on it to avoid actually walking in it.

Barondla - neat pic, i can't quite decide what it is. What is it?

Bart - yeah, the k20d is supposed to be weatherproofed. My little brother was shooting with his k100 during the same rain storm - his camera survived fine. Neither of us was using weatherproof lenses.

I did change my batteries under shelter from the rain, I don't know if the battery I put in was damp or what. but the camera definitely protested and never worked again.

According to the repair shop I sent it off to - none of the fuses were blown, but there was a blown component on the main board. When I told the tech that it was the weatherproofed body, he said... erm. when I open a weatherproof nikon or canon, I can tell it's weatherproof with lots of gaskets, etc., this camera did not look weatherproof to me.

But whatever, i probably was lucky my k20d lasted as long as it did given how often I took it kayaking with me. I picked up a used k7 on here eventually that I like much better than my k20d.

Love this one, barondla. The play of the lines just are great.

That's indeed one thing I never did. I suppose that's something to avoid with your K7 as well.

When it comes to electronics, it's well-known that the board itself burns to protect the fuse.
Now, talking about weather, as I'm severely affected by boredom (enough to write at work), I just ran outside to photograph an airplane, with a moderate rain. 1/ the photos are blury, 2/ perhaps I should avoid behaving that way, 3/ it may kill my camera as well.
