I could, but as a principle, I don't want to submit the same picture more than once. What fun would it be? That's the reason why I mentionned it wasn't entering the contest, and just given for fun.
I've some 767s, the one with vortices being a 767-300.
BTW, the next two photos are provided as samples of Boeing 767, and not running:

Here's another one... 767-300, coming from Dallas Fort Worth (IATA: DFW). If I love the bare metal / chromium of the AA livery, I have to say it's a pain to properly photograph.

And another 767-300, operated by Delta. Another -300, with the wingtip extension (winglets) provided as a retrofit option. They reportedly improve fuel economy by ~5%.

I'm liking what i'm seeing here. i have to agree that catching things in flight with a PnS is difficult. we're off to a great start, keep them coming

Time to post my first try:

I could have cropped the pic to keep only the group of 3 Canada geese, but these birds, as well as swans, always go by batch of 2.
They're flaring.

Optio P80, as usual... ISO 125, 1/200th sec.

I see this contest is off to a flying start. Great!

I'll hold off a bit since this month I'm going on a vacation. I'll see if I encounter any opportunities with these "Things that Fly" in mind.

Wow !

Wow, the competition is really stiff!
I just love Kyteflyers seagulls and GT's geese.
Going to really have to pull out the stops to come up with something special here.

I was half tempted to do a word play on cranes and submit this one:

But I'll be boring and do this one for my 3rd:

Taken with optio w60.

I thought of the crane, too.

I should find something else, still

Great contest theme! I like it.

We'll see if I can find any flyers to shoot.

Nice heron pic Immunogirl. I like the 'crane' idea also.

You could blame me if someone thinks I'm just trashing the contest...
At first, I thought of this one:

But in addition to looking ridiculous (on purpose, this time ), there would NOT be fun.
Instead, let me introduce you...

The new 747-8F, just before landing at Le Bourget (IATA: LBG) to attend the Paris Air Show. I was lucky enough to know of the scheduled arrival time (it was said in mainstream newspapers), and to get it when it flew almost over my workplace.
It was its first appearance in France, and possibly outside the US. In case someone'd be interrested, it features new wings, new engines, new materials (some composites, for instance, being shared with the 787). I've chosen this one as #2 with this specific angle to show the new wing design - I might provide some other pics on demand.

Both took with Optio P80.

Hello,
According to first post, could you confirm that digital bridge cameras shots are authorised in this contest ?

i hadn't thought of "bridge" cameras, however if your camera does not use interchangeable lenses and is not aps-c, then i would say you are eligible to enter. just be sure to post the brand and model with your entries.

G.T. nice capture of the new 747 and when did you learn to fly?
