Probably cheaper on this occasion to buy at home. Once shipping would be added, it would cost more than I can buy it for here, or from Hong Kong.

Thanks for the suggestion, though, is it a good camera for a P&S? (relatively speaking, I mean... )
yeah, cheaper here:

Oki.. thanks for the headsup. Still uncertain. I also looked at the S1 but dpreview says it has no SR? Weird if true.

Hello everybody!

I have a picture to enter this contest... perhaps off-topic, though.

As usual, Optio P80. Night mode, ISO 125, exposure time: 1.6s.

That fits the topic to the letter - multiple sources of light. Welcome to the contest!

Here's #2 for now. You never know when you might find something better.

And #3, a little different, but also several sources of light. I especially liked the way the keyboard light lit up my son's left thumb, but don't like the hot pixel I'm now seeing. I may have to reedit (though it is another light source). Also the Oly Stylus 1010.

A fitting entry, I believe G.T!

Christmas is upon us I see, John. And I like the mysterious atmosphere from your 3rd entry.

Actually, I don't celebrate it. These lights are on a faux Ficus tree. We just like the way mini lights look for mood lighting.

I also like Jheu's 2nd.
I don't really like Xmas either, but at least it gives us some good spots with multiple lights.

I really like your photograph of the parking lot and all its lights glowing.

Aw. They just looked exactly like the lights we use in our Christmas tree and this 'being the season', I just assumed that's what they were.

Hope I didn't offend you, John.

Bart, the bulb was looking very similar to me, too. I made the same supposition, but I was too lazy to write it down

Just for the hell of it, I'm going to make one entry. Dredged up from the archives, the following was shot with an S8000fd (sensor 1/2.33). I dont think I have anything else that I want to submit or which was shot with a compact.
